A man has been charged with murder and grievous bodily harm over the death of his baby son in Mackay in North Queensland.
Six-month-old Beau Bradshaw was found unresponsive at a home in East Mackay on June 2.
The boy was taken to hospital but died two days later in Townsville Hospital.
The death of Beau Frank Bradshaw is being treated as suspicious.
The family had visited Far Beach in Mackay between 9.30am and 11am on June 2, when detectives say Beau was seen healthy and well.
Police today arrested Beau's father, more than two months after the boy's death.
The 24-year-old man was taken into custody about 2pm, Detective Active Inspector Mick Searle said.
Police have alleged Beau suffered a brain injury and other internal injuries.
The charged man will appear in the Mackay Magistrates court tomorrow.
