South Australia border closed to Victorians
South Australia has shut its borders to anyone travelling from Victoria, unless they are an essential worker.
From 12.01am today, not even SA residents who have been in Melbourne are allowed back into the state unless they have a special exemption.
The lockout affects both drivers and those coming by plane.

Road checkpoints between Victoria and South Australia yesterday faced bottlenecks of up to an hour as people scrambled to cross the border before it was cut off.
The hard closure is a response to skyrocketing coronavirus cases in Victoria, where new lockdown rules have so far failed to slow the second wave of COVID-19.
"This is a very stark warning to us," SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens told 9News.
"If we don't have proper have proper controls in place and we don't manage people moving into the state, we could be in the same situation as Victoria very quickly."
Other new restrictions include household gatherings now limited to 50 people, and weddings and funerals capped at 100 people.
