Australian COVID-19 cases rise above 870
Australia's total cases of COVID-19 has risen above 870 as the nation recorded its seven death from the pandemic.
An 81-year-old Sydney woman contracted the virus through close contact with another confirmed case linked to Ryde Hospital, bring the New South Wales death toll to six.
Victoria confirmed it had 178 cases, Queensland had 184 cases, there were 64 infections in Western Australia, 50 in South Australia and 10 in Tasmania.
The ACT confirmed another two cases, bringing its tally to 6 and the Northern Territory recorded two cases so far.
