The homicide squad is investigating whether a man found dead in bushland near the NSW town of Batemans Bay met someone from the online dating app Grindr shortly before his death.
The man was found on the ground near power lines, a few metres away from a purple Honda Jazz it's believed he borrowed from a friend.
NSW Police homicide commander Danny Doherty said the man was "known to have used a number of dating apps" including Grindr and police would use the apps to find out who he was talking to.

It's believed the Canberra man, who has yet to be formally identified, drove from Canberra to the Batemans Bay area on Sunday.

Police want anyone who may have dashcam footage from that day to contact them.
"Someone may come forward who may have knowledge of this person, this area might be an area where people have met before, they may have knowledge of this man in the car that's important," Det Sup Doherty said.
Homicide squad detectives attached to Strike Force Henrick are working with local police and are treating the man's death as a suspected murder.
Nine News understands there were no obvious signs of injury and police are waiting for the results of an autopsy planned for tomorrow, to determine the man's cause of death.
The man was found wearing blue jeans, a blue singlet and white shoes.
