Iran Uprising – No. 49
Names of 20 more martyrs of nationwide uprising released

UN urged to take immediate action to stop the killings, dispatch a fact-finding mission to Iran

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/EMK) released the names of 20 more martyrs of the Iranian people’s nationwide uprising. As such, the names of 400 people killed during the uprising, which engulfed 190 cities have been released so far. The number of those killed during the uprising exceeds more than 1,000.

The religious dictatorship ruling Iran is doing its utmost to conceal the real scope of this crime against humanity. A large number of children and minors are among the martyrs.

In the past several days, large groups of Iranians, who support the MEK and the Iranian Resistance, have staged protests and gatherings worldwide, including in London, Rome, Hamburg, Brussels, Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Vienna, Geneva, Arhus, Toronto, Washington, DC, Dallas, and Canberra in Australia.

While expressing support for the Iranian people’s uprising, the Iranians called on the world community and the United Nations Security Council to take urgent action to stop the suppression and mass killing of the Iranian people and punish the regime’s leaders for committing crime against humanity. They urged the UN to implement the suggestion by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), for the dispatch of a fact-finding mission to Iran to visit the prisons and those arrested.
