Neighbour saw Sydney man who was later shot 'kidnapped' in street

A Sydney man has told how he saw a neighbour being bundled into a car at gunpoint, after a man was allegedly abducted and shot in the chest in the city's south west.
Police were called to Cooper Road, Yagoona, at 11.30pm following reports a man had been assaulted and forced into a car.
Neighbour John Timson said watched saw the chaos unfold out of his window, but was too scared to help.
"I heard a commotion. A fellow was yelling out 'help me, help me,'" he told 9News.
"I was looking out to see if I could help him, but there was going to be four big fellows bundling him into a car and I didn't think I could help him in that case, unfortunately.
"My heart went out to the fellow. He put up a very good fight.
"They looked very dangerous."
Thirty minutes later, emergency services were then called to McPherson Lane in Carlton after reports a man had been shot.
Officers found a 28-year-old man with gunshot wound to his chest and leg.
He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital, where he was due to have surgery.
Half-an-hour later, police were called nearby Bibby Street to a vehicle set alight.
Neighbour Flora Xu said she heard a 'bomb' sound and saw a 'fireball'.
"I just watched from my window. I called the police," she said.
Another neighbour, Rob, said the car he saw two men running from the car.
"I thought someone was breaking into my truck. When I saw the car alight I panicked a little bit.
"It's a bit scary."
The fire was extinguished by fire crews, with detectives investigating if the incidents are linked.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Houldin, called it "an horrific crime."
"We're of the belief that both parties are known to each other, this is not a random attack," he said.
"This is a targeted attack and clearly they are in conflict with one another."
