Bus full of students collides with tractor, one airlifted to hospital

One person is being airlifted to hospital and more than 20 others are being transported by road after a min-bus collided with a tractor near Ballarat.
Emergency crews were called to the Sunraysia Highway in Lexton about 1.55pm, after reports that a bus from the Ballarat Specialist School had crashed into a tractor.
Police on scene told 9News that there were 23 students and three teachers on board.
"All the occupants of the bus are going to hospital to be medically checked," the police spokesperson said, adding "the investigation into the crash continues."
One patient has been airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital while the remaining passengers will be taken to Ballarat Base Hospital.
The Sunraysia Highway is closed and diversions are in place.
