Boy was inside parked car in Nunawading where man and woman died, police say

Police say an eight-year-old boy was inside a parked car where a man and woman died in Melbourne's east on the weekend.
Emergency crews found the man and the woman in the car outside a block of units on Mount Pleasant Road in Nunawading just after 6:00pm on Saturday.
The woman, 36, from Blackburn, was dead when emergency services arrived, police said.
The man, 40, from Nunawading, died at the scene a short time later.
The boy was not physically harmed.

A police spokeswoman said the parties were believed to be known to each other.
The exact cause of the deaths is yet to be determined, but police are not looking for any other people in relation to the incident.

"The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation and as such, it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time," the spokeswoman said.
Police sealed off the driveway of the unit complex on Saturday night as investigators examined the scene.
Floodlights mounted on a police truck illuminated the scene as forensic officers took photographs of a white Audi SUV.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
