Man dies in workplace accident
A man has died after an industrial accident in western Sydney.
Emergency services were called to a pallet factory at Forrest Road in St Marys about 5.40am after reports of the workplace accident.
NSW Ambulance deployed four crews and a medical specialist team.
The 30-year-old man sustained severe head injuries and major blood loss.
SafeWork NSW is investigating the accident.
"Safework is attending a worksite at St Mary's this morning after a worker became trapped in a machine. The worker sustained crush injuries," a SafeWork spokesperson told Nine.com.au
Paramedics were called and treated him at about 6am.
