Police investigating brawl in showbag hall at Royal Adelaide Show
Brawl breaks out at Royal Adelaide Show (ABC News)
Police have spoken to two women who allegedly started a violent brawl at the Royal Adelaide Show .
A video of the altercation posted on social media on Thursday night showed up to six people involved in the fight at the showbag hall, including men, women and children.
One woman is seen pushing another person's head into the ground, while a child hits another person in the head with a showbag.
It is unclear what started the fight.
Royal Adelaide Show general manager Michelle Hocking said the brawl was "unfortunate".
"There was a bit of an altercation in the showbag pavilion which, actually, SAPOL [South Australian Police] are dealing with," she told ABC Radio Adelaide.
"Our message is if you're coming to the show or the showground and you think you can behave like that and get away with it, think again.
"Because the royal show is a beautiful family-friendly event and we expect a certain element of good behaviour when you're here, so if you're going to behave like that you will be evicted."
She said security dealt quickly with the incident.
"I feel for the onlookers as well the mums and dads and the kids that were there and had to get out of the way," she said.
The Royal Adelaide Show runs until Sunday.
