Man charged over stabbing death of Gold Coast teen

A man has been charged over the stabbing death of 17-year-old Harrison Geppert on the Gold Coast last night.

The younger brother of former Hells Angel bikie Ben Geppert was stabbed in the back at Frascott Park in Varsity Lakes just before 6pm.

The teenager died at the scene.

An 18-year-old man from Upper Coomera surrendered himself to police yesterday and was today charged with one count of murder.

Police allege about 5.40pm, two groups of young males who were known to each other arrived at the park in two separate vehicles.

A fight allegedly began before a man stabbed Harrison in the back.

Ben Geppert has threatened revenge, posting on his clothing brand's Instagram page, BG Premium Apparel, that he "won't stop" until he "sorts" this for his little brother.

The park remains a crime scene and footage from seven Gold Coast City Council CCTV cameras are being analysed to see if the incident was captured on video.

Police are urging anyone involved or who has information or dash camera video to come forward.
