Geelong home peppered with bullets in daylight shooting

Police at the scene in Geelong this morning.

A Geelong home has been sprayed with bullets in a drive-by shooting this morning.

Police say the shots were fired from a silver Holden sedan into the home on Woodvale Court, Bell Park, about 10am.

It is believed the occupants of the house returned the shots, before the car fled the scene.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Investigations into the shooting are ongoing with police urging the public to avoid the cordoned off street.

The incident marks the fifth shooting in Melbourne since Friday.

Detectives do not believe any of the shootings are linked, but have said probing the spate of gun-related violence is an "absolute priority" for them.
