Police are investigating a sudden death at Murdoch University’s South Street campus.

The body was discovered on Monday, the first day back for students after the summer break.

Police are investigating to determine if the death is suspicious.

Murdoch University confirmed there had been an incident and security service staff were assisting police with their enquiries.

It also confirmed the person who died was not a student at the university.

“There is no risk or danger to University staff, students or visitors,” a written statement.

“We will provide further details when they are available.”
