Brisbane father disappears from Egypt prison on week of release

A Brisbane father has disappeared after spending more than one year in an Egyptian jail. 54-year-old Hazem Hamouda landed in Cairo on the 25th of January last year for a family holiday but was detained at the airport. He was taken to Tora prison on allegations of sympathising with a terrorist group. Mr Hamouda's family was told he would be released from prison this week but authorities do not know where he is.
