Sydney couple in Blacktown pharmacy robbed at gunpoint

POLICE are searching for a man who robbed a pharmacy in at gun point in Sydney's west yesterday afternoon.

Two staff members, a 70-year-old man and 60-year-old woman, were threatened with a gun at the pharmacy on Alpha St, Blacktown, about 4pm.

No one was injured in the robbery, but the man escaped with a sum of cash.

Police are searching for a man with an athletic build and a height of about 183cm.

At the time of the robbery he was wearing a white hard hat, black sunglasses, a balaclava, a fluorescent jacket, blue pants and dark coloured black boots.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Blacktown police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
