Turkey and UK accused the Assad regime of committing war crimes

Farah news online: Turkey and UK accused the Assad regime of committing war crimes, while the UK considered the regime’s refusal of allowing aid into Baba Amr a sign of its criminality. These announcements came amid shocking reports of genocide in the neighbourhoods of Baba Amr and Rastan after the regime‘s forces entry.

Assad’s forces continued its attempts to stop refugees from fleeing to turkey by besieging border towns, blocking exits, and shooting refugees. Assad’s forces have recently invaded the town of Ain Baida in the province of Lattakia.

Protesters continued to go out in solidarity with other cities under siege. The regime killed at least 88 today, including 47 defected soldiers the regime executed in the province of Idlib. Regime forces invaded the cities of Deir Azzour and Hama, in addition to several cities in the suburbs of Damascus including Qatana, Qodseya, Harasta, Zabadani, and Deir al-Asafir, amidst heavy shooting and arbitrary arrests. Meanwhile, Assad’s forces clashed with revolutionaries in the towns of Kherbet Ghazaleh and Harrak in the province of Daraa.

Russia continued to circumvent EU sanctions on the regime as new reports indicate that two Italian ships carried shipments of gas from Russia’s port in the Black sea, through the Bosporus strait in Turkey, to Syria.
