UN Said Regime Officials Ordered Killing of Unarmed Children and Women

Farah News Online: The United Nations announced in a report it produced that Assad’s forces shot dead unarmed women and men, shelled urban locations, and tortured wounded demonstrators in hospitals. The report added that human rights violations were committed based on orders handed down by army and government officials of the Assad regime. A list containing the implicit names of all officials has been supplemented.
Assad’s forces invaded the neighbourhood of Baba Amr in Homs after twenty days of continuous shelling. According to activists, the neighbourhood was hit with SCUD missiles for the first time, and with nerve gas that caused respiratory problems and weakening of the nerves.
Assad’s forces killed at least 69 today; most fell in the provinces in Hama and Der Azzour where were subjected to new military operations, while 27 unidentified and mutilated bodies were found in a holding centre belonging to the regime in the city of Jabal al-Zawiya in the province of Idlib. The regime has been intensifying its operations in Idlib, as regime forces invaded many villages around Jabal Zawiya burning many houses. In Kafarnabel, clashes were reported whereby the regime used civilians as human shields. Massive defections were also recorded in the province of Daraa.
In the Damascus suburb of Douma, regime forces set up checkpoints all around the city and confiscated personal IDs of all passersby under the threat of a gun and gave them a receipt instead, ordering them to visit referendum offices on Sunday to vote yes for the new constitution in return for their IDs.
According to activists, the regime is intent on using cluster bombs to cover the entire areas out of control, as regime forces are not able to reach the mountainous areas where the revolutionaries are hiding.
