Two hotel robberies may be linked, police say

POLICE believe two hotels robbed at gun point could be linked after the thieves shared similar descriptions.
Two men armed with pistols burst into a hotel on Wigram Road, Glebe and stole cash from the till about 1.45pm yesterday.

About 8.10pm a second robbery took place at a hotel on King Street, Newtown again involving two men with pistols who stole cash from a safe.

In both incidents the men have been described as Aboriginal in appearance, wearing black balaclavas and dark clothing.

The men were last seen escaping from the second hotel robbery in a stolen white Subaru, which was later found abandoned in Cooper Street, Waterloo.

No staff members were injured during either robbery.

Police urge anyone with information on the two incidents to contact Crime Stoppers
