Suleiman, Assad Discuss Developments in Region, Bilateral Ties

President Michel Suleiman discussed with his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad during a telephone conversation developments in the region and bilateral issues, a presidential statement said Saturday.
The two leaders also discussed issues that consolidate bilateral relations, the statement said.
Last Sunday, Assad met with Premier Saad Hariri in Damascus. A joint statement stressed on calm and support for the resistance to solve pending issues.
Assad visited Beirut along with Saudi King Abdullah on July 30. The tripartite summit held at Baabda palace called for commitment not to resort to violence.
