Lebanese Forces files law suits against some politicians slandering Geagea

The Lebanese Forces law department said on Thursday it intends to file law suits against a number of politicians who slandered LF president Samir Geagea. Among the figures who will be the subject of prosecution are Naser Qandeel, Fayez Shouker, Sleiman Frangieh, Mustafa Hamdan and Jamil al Sayyed. The LS said in a statement that remarks against Geagea should be considered a felony and not only libel. "We hope that judicial authorities will refer these individuals to justice because they have committed a felony and not libel," the statement said.
