Police hunt teen girls' sex attacker
July 27, 2010
A MAN who indecently assaulted two teenage Sydney girls remains at large but police hope the release of an image of the offender will result in his capture.
A 17-year-old school girl was walking along Ledger Street, Casula, in Sydney's southwest, about 12.40pm (AEST) on July 20 when she was approached from behind.
She was grabbed by the neck and indecently assaulted but managed to push the man away before escaping uninjured.
In a similar incident at about 3.30pm on June 25, a 16-year-old girl was walking through Gandangara Park at Casula when she was also grabbed from behind.
The man threatened her before placing his hand inside her top.
When she resisted, he pushed her to the ground, she screamed and he fled on foot.
Police describe the man as being Indian/sub-continental in appearance, 170-183cm tall and with a thin build.
During the July attack, he wore a black hooded jacket, a black Nike-brand hat and dark tracksuit pants.
During the June incident, he wore blue jeans, a brown suede coat and thongs.
Police have released a computer image of the suspect and urge anyone with information about the attacks to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
