Government brings forward $106 million in aged-care funding

Prime Minister Scott Morrison will bring forward $106 million in aged-care funding, after labelling it as one of his top priorities. The government will also introduce legislation to parliament to establish the aged-care quality and safety commission, and to update regulatory standards for the first time in more than 20 years. Labor has welcomed the announcement but claims the funding is just a ‘drop in the bucket’ of what is needed.
