Hundreds of Rohingya refugees call on the international community to make efforts to ensure their security
Hundreds of Rohingya minority refugees called on the international community to do more to ensure their security and access to their human rights.
The Japanese Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) said on Thursday that the refugees organized a march in one of the camps in the town of Cox Bazaar, Bangladesh, and demanded citizenship in Myanmar.
“We would like to send a message to the international community asking them to make efforts to help us return home,” said one of the participants.
It is noteworthy that the Muslims Rohingya suffer persecution in the country with a majority of Buddhism, as many in the state of “Arakan” and parts of Myanmar illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
