Police and tactical officers have descended on a Wallaroo home and closed off nearby streets as they search for a man wanted for serious offences.
Officers attended the East Terrace home in the South Australian town at about 1:00pm today to search for the man wanted by police.
Police said officers had reason to believe the single male occupant was inside the home and they cordoned the area off before calling for the assistance of Special Tasks and Rescue Group officers.
East Terrace between Daly Street and Smith Street, as well as Prince Street, is currently closed and police have asked members of the public to avoid the area.
They have also advised people who live in the area to stay indoors while emergency services are at the scene.
Police say it is unclear if the man is definitely inside the house or if he is armed.
The incident follows a police siege in Wallaroo last month when police locked down parts of the town in search of Jake Dohnt, who had allegedly aimed a gun at police.
Dohnt led police on a two-day manhunt and was arrested on Port Wakefield Road the following day after more than 40 hours on the run.
