Melbourne..Young woman left with head injuries after hit-run

A young Melbourne woman is in hospital with head injuries after being struck by a car as she got out of another vehicle.


The 21-year-old stepped out of the vehicle at the intersection of St Georges Road and Westbourne Grove in Northcote about 11pm on Saturday night.


A dark coloured sedan travelling south along St Georges Road then struck the Collingwood resident.


The vehicle initially pulled up a short distance ahead, however then left the scene a few minutes later without speaking to the occupants of the first vehicle.
