REPUBLIC PRESIDENCY: ANY INFORMATION ON CERTAIN PERSONS' CITIZENSHIP INELIGIBILITY TO BE FORWARDED TO GENERAL SECURITY

In an issued statement by the Lebanese Presidency Information Bureau on Saturday, it indicated the following: "Although the current naturalization decree has been issued through legal channels, and in wake of increasing rumors about certain people's ineligibility for the Lebanese citizenship and in an effort to dispel all concerns of any kind...the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, urges anyone in possession of definite information regarding any person covered by the aforementioned decree who is unworthy of the Lebanese nationality to forward said information to the Interior Ministry's General Security Directorate for verification."
