STL-Trial Chamber to hold a Pre-Defence Conference on Thursday 8 March 2018


Leidschendam,- The STL Trial Chamber will hold a Pre-Defence Conference in the Ayyash et alcase under Rule 129 on Thursday 8 March 2018 at 10:00 AM CET.


In its scheduling order of 23 February 2018, the Trial Chamber ordered counsel for the four Accused—if the Trial Chamber decides not to enter a judgement of acquittal with respect to any Accused and if the Defence had elected to call its case—to file their Defence witness and exhibit lists and all associated documents specified under Rule 128.


Prior to the commencement of any Defence case, and pursuant to Rule 129, the Trial Chamber shall hold one or more inter partes Pre – Defence Conferences, as needed.


The Trial Chamber may give such directions necessary or desirable to ensure a fair, impartial and expeditious trial.
