Man charged with murder following death in suburban Wagga Wagga

A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder after the death of another man in suburban Wagga Wagga on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to French Place, Tolland, about 3:45am on Tuesday, where they found a man lying in a driveway with a serious injury to his left thigh.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

Police from Wagga Wagga Local Area Command identified the dead man as a 37-year-old who is believed to be from Junee.

The 28-year-old was refused bail and is scheduled to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
