Family of three die in crash near Mount White
August 28, 2009 6:39AM
A YOUNG family of three has died in a fiery crash involving two cars and a truck on the F3 freeway on the NSW Central Coast.
Police are appealing for information about the crash which took the lives of a couple and their baby.
They said two cars and a Towers Transport b-double truck were involved in the collision at about 10.50pm last night near the Mount White weigh-bridge.
Police are investigating information provided by sources at the scene who reported the couple's car might have been parked at the side of the road with the parents tending to their child when the tragedy occurred.
The impact caused one of the sedans and the truck to catch fire.
The bodies of a 27-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man and a five-month-old child were found in one of the cars.
Inspector Rod Peet said police were investigating that the young couple who were killed in the tragedy with their child had pulled over to the shoulder of the road beforehand and may have been outside the car at the time.
