March 14 mourns Nassib Lahoud: led a political movement committed to the national issues

March 14 forces issued Thursday a statement mourning former Minister and MP Nassib Lahoud who passed away Thursday after a long battle with illness.

The March 14 forces “bowed in tribute to a man who carried the slogan crossing into the state” and said “the March 14 forces mourns its dear deceased former MP and Minister Nassib Salim Lahoud who died after a long battle with illness and bow in tribute to a pioneer from Lebanon who led a political movement that was marked with integrity, honesty and commitment to the national issues, and who carried the slogan of crossing into the state that was adopted by the March 14 forces as a slogan that still lives till today”.

The statement called on the Lebanese to participate in the mass that will be given to the soul of the late Nassib Lahoud on Saturday February 4th 2012 at the St Georges Cathedral for the Maronites- Beirut at 12:00 noon.

The statement concluded “may the soul of our dear deceased and the leader of the Lebanese dreams rest in peace”.
