6 dead, at least 20 wounded in 3 separate U.S. shootings
A day after a gunman disguised as a police officer killed at least 85 campers at a youth retreat in Norway, police report three shootings in the U.S. on Saturday in which six people died and at least 20 were wounded.
A man attending a birthday party at a North Texas roller rink shot five people to death and wounded at least three before killing himself, authorities said, according to an Associated Press report. The shooting was sparked by a spat among family members, police said.
In a separate shooting, this one in suburban Seattle, eight people were injured when gunfire broke out at a low-rider car show at a shopping center in Kent, Wash., according to an Associated Press report. No arrests were reported.
Near Apopka, Fla., meanwhile, nine people were wounded in a shooting at a house party after a fight broke out among teens and one person pulled a handgun, the Orlando Sentinel reports. Two people were in surgery, one with possible life-threatening injuries, the paper reports.
